Government For the People, By the People and Of the People

Let us all remember that it is not government's roll to rule the people, but the people's duty and obligation to always make sure we speak loud enough to remind anyone who advocates changing our established liberties.
The 'Preamble to the Constitution' starts with:  We the people in order to form a more perfect union  (these attempts to deal with the possibility of negative, influencing factors which the writers were discouraging in a strong way), to establish a more perfect union and to ensure domestic tranquility ...
"A more perfect union = means it was not perfect, and it might never be, but we are to seek a MORE PERFECT union.
"... to ensure domestic tranquility.      This one expands so deep and wide it is almost impossible to fathom the extent to which it applies.
Ensuring Domestic Tranquility means the government run by the people, of the people and for the people is charged with giving us an atmosphere and peach of mind so we can go through our daily lives without having to worry about terrorists or other threats.  Our government may need to look up "tranquility" - or maybe not - but either way we have the right, nay the duty to make sure our government is following the basics - (although redundant) - it's FOR THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE AND OF THE PEOPLE.
The only "earmarks" in these words are for citizens.  The only special interest groups  are the American citizenry.
We are focused so much on AIG that it could well be the diversion the government needs to distract us from the primary goal.
While I agree with the majority opinion that AIG needs to stop their rhetoric, it is so much more important that we do not allow 100 things to be taken from us while they have us focused on one.
STOP, think!  We can't pray in school, no Bible reading, we can't even - now - taken a silent moment for reverence to any higher power we might have.  We can't compare theological creation, but we can have our children taught about Darwin and evolution.  When was the last time you heard a person sworn in inside a Court, the last time a public official took his oath of office and heard them say, "So help me, Darwin"?    Our forefathers never referred to Darwin.  Our currency states, "In God We Trust".
You don't have to believe in God - but I hope you will - just stand up for our inalienable rights that have been fought for, guaranteed to us and that could easily disappear if we lose focus.  Consider this.  When President Abraham Lincoln stated, "All men are created equal", he was undeniably accurate.  Darwin was created equal - who was he created by?
Now we stand at a great turning point to decide if one country, so conceived and so dedicated can "continue" to endure.
I'll close this post with my deepest feelings, that being, hopefully we will find grounds for impeachment before we're damaged more.
